Sandol Foods announced the opening of its first Thai branch on the 29th, introducing items such as the "Oppa Set" and the "33 Set" under the "Korean Street Food" concept. He added that the store has been a huge success, with daily sales exceeding 12,000 baht on its first day of opening, attracting Thai locals eager to try its tteokbokki.
On September 20th, Sungbaek F&S, a subsidiary of Sandoll Foods, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Banphe Interfood (BPI), a restaurant subsidiary of Thailand's CP Group, in Bangkok.
CP Group, Thailand's leading conglomerate, operates a massive distribution network, including over 14,000 7-Eleven convenience stores through its distribution affiliates. BPI, a CP Group affiliate, sells food and other consumer goods through various distribution channels in Thailand.
Starting with its first store in Bangkok, Sandoll Foods plans to open two more locations in January or February next year. It is also in discussions to expand beyond 7-Eleven stores to department stores, discount stores, and food courts.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year as a member of the Gangwon Economic International Exchange Association (Ganggukhoe), Sandol Food's "33 Tteokbokki" has been steadily gaining popularity, with expansion into Japan in 2017, the United States, Mongolia, and Indonesia last year, and inquiries from Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam and Malaysia.
CEO Lee Ho-seong stated, "We are thrilled with the local popularity in Thailand and aim to open our 1,000th store in Thailand. We also plan to expand into neighboring Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam." He added, "We will strive to introduce Korea's signature street food to Thais and dominate the Thai K-food market with localized menus."
