33 Tteokbokki Aims to Open 250th Store This Year

The popular snack brand "33 Tteokbokki," from Sandol Foods Co., Ltd. (CEO: Ho-seong Lee), a local company headquartered in Hongcheon, is captivating consumers nationwide with its presence at renowned resorts.
According to Sandol Foods, the 33 Tteokbokki store officially opened on the 7th in the Urban Court, the basement food court of Sono Hotel & Resort Vivaldi Park in Hongcheon.
This is the second directly managed store of Sandol Foods, a subsidiary of Sungbaek F&S Co., Ltd., following the opening of its second brand, "33 Tteokbokki," "Dora Bowl," on Bukchon-ro, Seoul in 2022. 33 Tteokbokki achieved top sales within Urban Court, exceeding 3 million won in sales on its first day of operation.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Sandol Foods' "33 Tteokbokki" has expanded its presence to North Chungcheong and South Gyeongsang provinces, following its opening at the Inje Naerincheon and Gapyeong rest areas last year. It is now the leading snack brand in Korea, operating in approximately 20 highway rest areas nationwide.
According to the Fair Trade Commission, the number of "33 Tteokbokki" franchises is rapidly increasing, from 122 in 2021 to 152 in 2022 and 175 last year. Including rest areas and overseas stores, the number of stores reached approximately 240 as of this month, and the company aims to open its 250th store this year.
Sandol Foods Co., Ltd., a member of the Gangwon Economic International Exchange Association (Ganggukhoe), has been recognized nationwide for its achievements as a technologically innovative small and medium-sized enterprise and venture company, a top company to work for, a women-friendly village company, a top small and medium-sized enterprise, the Gangwon Employment Award, and the Gangwon Economic Person Award. At its 20th anniversary ceremony held in May, the company donated 10 million won each to the Community Chest of Korea and the Mugunghwa Scholarship, for a total of 20 million won, demonstrating its commitment to fostering a culture of giving in the local community.
